Jackson State’s Advanced Maintenance Technician Program equips students to be the next generation of industrial maintenance. Through their Co-Op program, students not only gain book learning but real world experience while being paid to do so.

TCAT Jackson Lexington Campus:

Has a variety of programs for students to be workforce ready including- welding, machine tool technology, and industrial electricity. TCAT’s across Tennessee work with regional employers to develop programming to meet workforce needs.

The Machine Tool Technology program at TCAT Jackson-Lexington Campus prepares students for careers as machine tool operators, machinists, and industrial maintenance technicians. Our Lexington campus provides hands-on training in this essential field.

Henderson County also boasts multiple four-year universities within about an hour drive offering engineering, business, and other industry-related fields.

Beech Lake is a 1,000 acre man made reservoir that reaches into the heart of Lexington. With boat ramps, a community beach, fishing, and a great public pavilion, Beech Lake is the stuff weekends are made of. Beech Lake is also home to the annual Festival of the Lakes around the July 4th weekend.

Pine Lake

Pine Lake, a 500-acre reservoir located 5 miles south of Lexington, provides year-round recreation with fishing, boating, swimming, and a picnic area featuring covered pavilions, grills, a sandy beach, and boat ramps. It’s one of 7 BRWDA lakes around Lexington offering abundant outdoor activities for the region.

Natchez Trace State Park:

Natchez Trace State Park, a 48,000-acre park located near Lexington, offers year-round camping, horseback riding, and trails for every skill level including a 40-mile overnight trail. The park is also home to a restaurant and lodge that can accommodate corporate or team-building retreats (currently under construction with an anticipated opening in 2027).
